Calculation method and data requirements

Linearized Darcy flow uses apparent viscosity and the complete pack resistance Rm. Deposits add αM/A to the resistance, with M taken as the retained mass over the entered maximum media exposure. This is a conservative inventory scenario, not a simulation of rotary indexing or backwash.

Equations use SI units and mass fractions. The calculator converts kg/h, minutes, bar and percentages automatically.

Use matched measurements for non-Newtonian melts and compressible deposits. Micron targets and square openings are not absolute retention guarantees for deformable gels. No generic mesh-to-resistance or contamination multiplier is applied.
